I am trying to find the best riding springs and shocks for my FJ40. I would like to know what some of you FJ40 owners have found to be the best on the market. I am looking for a softer ride for a daily driver. I have the shackle reversal kit. I have the Safari springs and OME nitrocharger shocks...

I don't understand the rebound or no rebound issue. That's the problem, I don't know what to look for in a shock to get the ride that I want. Isn't there a definitive answer out there as to which shocks give the best ride? Of course not, that would be too easy :) I better not spend anymore...

I have the greasable shackles that came with my suspension kit from MAF. The rear ones are the anti-inversion kind. So they are longer than stock. I don't know how long they are.

Thanks for the input guys, I'm leaning towards the Bilsteins. I keep hearing good things about them. Anyone want my one month old OME nitrochargers? My shackle angles are nearly vertical but there's no way to remedy that very easily.

Anyone know where the large bottom port on the HAC valve goes on a 1979 FJ40? I see nothing in the service manual emissions diagrams. I think it is supposed to be open to the atmosphere, but shouldn't it be filtered? I can't find anyplace on the air cleaner that it might go to.

Does somebody know the part # for the Toyota OEM U Joints?

I am looking for 15" wheels for my FJ40 like the one in this picture. For 33"x10.5"x15" tires. This is an Ultra, but I think there are other brands that are very similar. Lloyd
