1998 LC Replacement Fuel Pump Options

FWIW, the Delphi I ordered was from rockauto (I trust them a bit better than Amazon sellers in terms of counterfeit parts). Mine is still working ok, but only have about 7 months on it. That said, I’d likely just bite the bullet and buy OEM if I had to do it again.

1998 LC Replacement Fuel Pump Options

Delphi fuel pump is direct drop in. It is unnoticeable from a noise standpoint and there were on issues with the install. Only practical difference is that it is a bit shorter in overall length than the denso, so you just need to use a bit more of the supplied hose than stock for the pump to...

1998 LC Replacement Fuel Pump Options

I agree, just a tough pill to swallow when we used to be able to pick up denso pumps for 1/3 of that. This is what I ended up picking up. Will report back if I have any issues with install.

1998 LC Replacement Fuel Pump Options

The only one I see on Amazon that looks to be a real denso, and not just putting the model number in the listing of another brand pump, says “usually ships in 3-4 weeks”. Which I take to mean, you aren’t ever really going to get get this pump.

1998 LC Replacement Fuel Pump Options

Trying to find a replacement fuel pump for my 1998. The denso kits and replacement pumps have been on backorder for months (now believe they may be discontinued per denso's site). I've had multiple orders canceled for both the kit (950-0107) and the individual pump (951-0003) from places that...

Replacing lower control arm "No. 2 Bushing"

It doesn't matter if the truck is on the ground or in the air, you simply want the arms torqued when they are in as close to nominal running orientation, which may not necessarily be exactly the factory position. Your truck could be heavier loaded or the suspension could have settled some or...

1998 LC Crank but no start (not immobilizer)

I left it in my garage for a couple weeks starting it multiple times a day with fuel pressure gauge hooked up. Issue never replicated unfortunately. Fuel pressure is nominal when running. I don't have techstream so haven't tried to turn the pump on with engine off. Sometimes, fuel pressure...

Replacing lower control arm "No. 2 Bushing"

The method he is describing does work, and it's a very standard process for suspension work. You measure the relative position from hub center to fender when on the ground. Then when it is in the air during re-install, just reset the assy back to that measurement prior to torquing. On an LC...

1998 LC Crank but no start (not immobilizer)

I hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and left it in the garage for a couple weeks starting it from time to time. Could not get the issue to replicate! Only thing I noticed was sometimes the fuel pressure bled down pretty quickly after shutdown (eg, ~1min to get back to 0), other times, it had a...

1998 LC Crank but no start (not immobilizer)

My '98 LC (~367K on it) just started this issue. It will intermittently have a tough time starting, happens about 50% of the time now. It cranks fine and fast, but will not fire up. It does not matter if cold or hot, if I just stopped the engine and tried to re-start, or if truck has been...

    Model Year Differences, LC200 + LX570

Thx for the info! Yes, I'm only interested in differences between the LCs in MY 2016-2019. Is there any difference in the infotainment setup between 2016-2019? I thought I read something about a different entune or something in 2019, but I'm having trouble finding any details about it.

    Model Year Differences, LC200 + LX570

Is there a listing anywhere of the model differences/updates from 2016+? Our 100 series is now up to over 360K going strong, but looking to potentially swap out our LR4 for a 2016+ 200 series. I'm only really interested in the LC differences. 2016-2019 is the budget range I had been looking at.

    Front Differential/CV Failure Dilemma.

I haven't had to R&R axles on my 100 yet, but if they didn't seat the axles properly into the diff on re-install, fluid will leak out past the seals.
