i would only use a stock pump. i see them out there for $200. I guess if I rev and pressure goes up means it is working. i think it is rather binary. either the pump works or not?

I am replacing the oil pan gasket and was wondering if i should change out the oil pump. i do have really low oil pressure at 700 rpm. it does increase with a rev of the engine. like all these 2 f engines. will a new pump help at low idle? thanks

I targeted 750 rpm as that seems to make all the stuff work well. Power steering, belts on water pump . I advanced the timing to barley seeing the mark in site glass. it seems to work well now. thanks.

thanks i read somewhere you could see if a noise was front drive line if the front drive shaft was unbolted from the TC and then run the truck. I guess to make the rear work, you need the cdl locked to make the rear spin and move with front un bolted?
