    New ride pictures!

And third, I'm sorting through some carb issues. The PO had stated he couldn't get it to run or idle. I made it run, but couldn't find idle. I read lots of things to look here on the forums and since it had been sitting for 3 years I figured a rebuild/refresh wouldn't hurt. I bought the Keyster...

    New ride pictures!

Next thing: The water pump was suspect. I didn't have to suspect it long since I have been going through the different systems it started leaking profusely. I loosened up the belts and could feel slop in the pulley shaft and it was not happy turning. I called the local Toyota dealer who told...

    New ride pictures!

Been working on this guy a little bit. I'll try to break it up into a couple of posts but it won't be chronological. So first things first: I chased a red wire. The red wire was connected to a bundle in the rear passenger side quarter panel where I found a (drumroll) period correct mobile phone...

    2F short block

I didn't think it was available, but I'm not bold enough to order it and find out. Just curious about the part number.

    2F short block

Hey- Does anyone know if 11400-73013 Short block is the actual short block assembly for a 2F? If that's the case, it's cheaper to buy than it is to have the machine work done on my old block. I did a search for the part number (and preceding part numbers of 73012 and 73011) Maybe one of the...

    New ride pictures!

Yeah, it’s a cover. What’s underneath isn’t as nice. The bezels and all the controls are SUPER nice. I’m not really too worried about it. Just glad I don’t have to spend that much on fixing everything. Ive been pretty fortunate with this one.

Thanks everyone! I dig it. Oil galley plug is not done. Didn't even know that was a thing, so thank you. Now on the list of to-do's. I will also say that my son is basically a master mechanic, in that he has mastered hitting things with a hammer until they break. They other day he stepped into...

    New ride pictures!

Just picked this up. Needs a decent amount of work and maintenance to make it roadworthy, but pretty straight overall and the inside is very clean. Original drive train with 121k on the clock. A few amateur add-ons that need cleaned up. Suspension is pretty tired. The mouse living in it has been...

Another FJ60 and BJ 60 swap

gerg- Thanks for the info. I'm going to try and keep the original glow system as it was in good working order, but if not I'll be going to a push button. Dipstick is on the bench. With the amount of on and off again as I try to piece this puzzle back together, I didn't want to damage it. But I...

Another FJ60 and BJ 60 swap

Well after reading that thread, I mean, that's exactly how mine sits. It blows my mind. Like I said everything from the transmission to the motor mounts sat down perfect on the mounts, but I can't say that I compared the BJ60 before or noticed it. I'll try to get it adjusted a little bit and...

Another FJ60 and BJ 60 swap

Looking for help on fitment issue. After reviewing Jzilla's measurements on his FJ/BJ swap I think my front to back measurement is ok, but my side to side might be off, but I would rather ask for some help before I cut and start again. After dropping in the engine and transmission, all bolt...

Another FJ60 and BJ 60 swap

So, I have asked questions in a couple of other threads, but this is supposed to be a little more comprehensive. I'm still going to ask for help, so here goes. 1) I'm trying to put the intake on and there is an electrical connection that spans three studs. Does anyone have accurate pictures of...
