Was on a soft gravel ramp this weekend. Trailer tires dug in to almost the axle on the way in.
Friends we were with had seen vehicles unable to pull their boats out there with out getting strapped to another vehicle.
Put the LX in 4 low to pull the boat out. Pulled up the ramp just off idle...
I did a lot of reading on here about towing and never found a really good thread about what these rigs can comfortably tow.
I read posts that said to never tow with one because it can't get out of it's own way, to people who towed 10k ++ lbs.
I'm sharing my experiences to help anyone searching...

We are looking at a 20' Malibu ski boat which would weigh a similar amount.
Glad to hear the 4.7 pulls it no problem. My 80 series struggles a bit pulling our 2500lb pop up camper.

After a bunch of research I decided on FF as well. Bought the starter kit on Amazon.
They say 1 gal should be enough to do 2 vehicles. I'm hoping that is true and it will be sufficient for my LX and the Wife's Forester.
Planning on doing this every fall.
