Sweet rig. Just finished 6000 miles to and from New Foundland. No issues till I used Canada gas. O2 sensor, I think it might be wiring issue. Shifter celinoid is needed, starter needed. I'm going to work on the starter in three weeks upon my return from vacation. Two new deep cycle NAPA bats...
Womac at Expedition Oops has a 416 axle laying around. Get in touch with him. We also put a Dexter on his trailer and it has surge brakes and a hand brake connection. $400. They do not make the hub to fit the millitary wheels so you are sol if you want to do that. Get the hub to match your truck...
Funny. The same guy must have owned my trailer. Exactly the same thing on my M100. Sharp friggin edges and a zerk in the center of the cover. Too funny. The original leather seals were still in nearly perfect shape though. Yes, I changed them.
Expedition Ops has a really nice selection of 40 and 80 wt panels. Check the site and/or call Jeremy. Have some time though cause the guy loves to talk your ear off, because he is so helpful.
Great idea on the lid pins! I have noticed that my top has "migrated" an inch or so rearward having not secured it to the trailer on the closing end. The struts have actually pushed the top toward the rear of the trailer bending the front panel. Time for another mod.
Did you make the pins out...
Believe you me, I am a very defensive rider. I learned that the very first day I had my first bike. Someone pulled out on me without looking and I nearly lost it. From then on, Mr. Defensive! That being said, I have been known to crack the throttle just a bit! :D
Yes I am taking a safety/refresher/licensing course through the state. $150 gets you three days, a bike and your license. I let my cycle endorsement laps so I need to get that back before I do any serious riding again and a refresher course is a must.
