Update - Did a lot of research and found almost no user feedback on the new BFG Trail-Terrain T/A - very frustrating. Based on my great experience with BFG All-Terrain A/Ts on my Model 80 LC, I went ahead and pulled the trigger today on set of 4 BGF Trail-Terrain T/A for the 2004 Toyota Sequoia...
Great point - I have seen many a Philmont backpacker "oz hunting" on equipment but then carrying an extra 20-50 lbs of unnecessary body weight onto the trail.
Great discussion/great info - thanks all. I used to run BFG A/Ts on my model 80 lifted LC. I was very happy with them as they were used 70% on road 30% offroad. Drove many of the Blue/Green trails in CO, Moab UT, VA, PA, NC/MD beaches with them with no complaints... other than the fact they...
Dont know for certain. However, I did see on another Tundra forum where they had the Trail-Terrain T/A mounted with white letters inside and all black lettering on the outside.
Anyone use the Maxtrax? Has anyone tried the "

Toyota Sequoia 2004 LED Headlight Replacement (High/Low – one bulb)
I looked on ih8mud but did not find any relevant entries for my Toyota Sequoia 2004. So went on a quest to find my own solution. I ended up buying SEALIGHT H4/9003/HB2 LED Headlight Bulbs X1 Series Dual High/Low Beam Xenon...
Sorry so long in the response - just now logging in after being off of the board for a while. Great idea - that is perfect! Is that a standard Tow Hook for all Toyota Trucks? Do you recall the size of the bolts? Did you get the bolts from the dealer as well?
That is a cool looking skid...
Doing some basic offroading with my 04 Sequoia. I would like to replace the factory front tow/tiedown hook and loop (not suitable for loaded recovery) with two rated "shackle ready" recovery points suitable for recovery with a "snatch strap". Have anyone of you installed aftermarket front...
RagingMatt - K&N looks really cool......they say that "cold" air can add power (although that engine has crazy power bone stock) and fuel efficiency.....that is why some will add a snorkel....What was the cost of the K&N Cold Air Intake? Was it hard to install? Have you seen any improvement in...
Enjoy the 80 for as long as you can....they are getting old....stuff starts to not work that becomes annoying.....at some point it becomes a "restoration" and not a DD type reliable vehicle with all of the amenities for reasonable cost. My 1995 80 w 250K miles recently bit the dust.....blown...
Looks like my old Odessey 34R-PC1500T (made to fit stock model 80 battery box setup with a small Odessey $4 height adaptor) might be giving up the ghost. I have a CTEK (56-353) MULTI US 7002 battery charger on the way to see if I can recover it. I have lots of electronic accessories, inverter...
ElPolloBlanco, Thanks for your awesome diagrams and explanation of your procedures. I purchased black, military spec, heavy duty, outdoor (wide range of temperatures) 14 inch zip ties from Home Depot for under $3 and with the assist of my son we had both mirrors fixed in under 30 minutes...
