With the front end looking so nice after my previous post, couldn’t deal with the rust on the rear gates. I’m amazed that you can still purchase new Toyota sheet metal.
Will be leaving the badging off as well as the wind deflector. Easier to keep it clean without the badging and don’t want to...
If not for the IM bumper the truck would have certainly been totaled. My 16 year old son hit a light pole??? Could have been worse and no one was hurt.
Was able to upgrade the front end to the 06’ grill/ headlight config. Really like the look over the 01’.
Morning all,
I just replaced my evaporator coil over the weekend due to a leak identified by the smell of the funky PAG oil. All went well in the R&R except I had some condensation leaking onto the passenger floor after test.
I knew I just needed to seal up the lower 1/4 of the box/cover to...
You have a leak if the refrigerant is no longer present. Now just need to find the leak, I prefer to use high pressure nitrogen to pressurize the system to and either listen or find it with spraying all lines with soaping water. If you don’t see anything you may have a leak in your evaporator...
I just installed my muffler 2 days ago and the fit was about as good as you’re ever going to get. I replaced the pipe coming from the drivers side cat since the flex joint had started to crack after 20 years. Puchased the Walker replacement from Rockauto and it also was made very well. Took...
Have you tried a UV light to try and locate the dye? Rather than needing to refill the system and have it all leak out as it sounds like you have a significant opening in the systwn, I would recommend pressurizing the system with at least 250 psi of nitrogen. If you don’t have a nitrogen tank...
Ah so your the guy, Congrats, I was watching the same truck on eBay. Looks real nice from the pics. My only concern was 300k miles. I had the dealer send me pics with the steering wheel cover removed and it was pretty beat up. The underbody is rust free from the pics. The asking price was...
Does anyone have techstream here who can plug in to their truck and confirm this steering angle value does change for me with wheel movement, would be much appreciated before I go and spend the $$ to replace the sensor
No it is not a common problem and that should not happen if threaded in correctly and not over torqued. I would demand they fix there problem they created. Drilling and tapping the hole oversize would be the repair I would attempt if I caused the problem.
