The value in Wits End was that they sold you all the parts needed in a kit. Nothing more frustrating than buying a thermostat from your local dealer only to find that it doesn't include the gasket.
Turned out to be a wiring repair from before I owned it that failed. The EFI fuse location had melted at some point in the past and it was bypassed with an inline fuse but the wiring job failed. I could say it wasn't done very well, but it held...
Took the batt tray out to replace the trans cooler and pwr steering lines.
Stoped to get lunch with the fam and seen this little gem in the parking lot. It’s 4x4!
Tie-down and cargo area divider. It makes a nice safe spot to store optics, rifles, and other fragile things without getting crushed by coolers and such. Also doubles as an extension for sleeping in the back.
Not exactly a happy scenario, but snow cleared enough to start addressing the wrecked truck sitting at a friend's place. Front end shifted enough to tear a hose off heater control valve, created some clearance issues with the fan, and split the...
Got both axles and all linkage pulled. Used the @TRAIL TAILOR press dies to get all bushings out.
Worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY to have the correct dies.
Getting everything ready for sandblast, then doing blitz black on everything with an epoxy...

Finished up the sound deadening this afternoon. Over the past week sprayed Lizard Skin sound deadening and ceramic insulation in the LC.
Then rolled on some MAT66 ProBlack car sound deadening mat.
Made some progress overnight while on baby duty:
Wiring “finished up” (it’s never really finished is it?)
Trans cooler Rad and AC condenser mounted
Hoses
Power steering completed
Air intake done.
Go for a drive, without any load on the engine you will not get any useful information or allow the ecu to learn closed loop values. It will take a bunch bad noise and heat before you melt it down.
Also make sure this is plugged.
Seems like my other post was deleted as I linked the images rather than uploading them, sorry.
Looks like someone managed to snap some pics of one of the LC250s that came off the Highway Green @ PDX last week.
Interesting note is that the...
Truck will be heading to a shop in Provo that @Cruiserhiggs recommended. It’s a few miles inside my 200 mile AAA towing limit and close enough to a major airport that getting back to it shouldn’t be terrible.
I’m now sitting at the...
