Showed up 2021 "ran when parked" in '97. Needed absolutely everything except a body lol
Current day '24 after replacing/restoring anything I could get my hands on.
Decided early on to shelve the 4plus carrier. The idea behind the 2.0 build was to maintain a “stock(ish) look” to a casual observer. Not in an attempt to fool anyone but as a nod to the original lines and build. A lot of small details went...
Tires are 285-75R16’s. I run the 265 version on the Tundra. They have a taller sidewall. Skinny’s are OK, it’s a look, I just prefer something a little phatter. If you get a set, don’t buy the center “52” caps/rings I have an extra set. I’ll...
Thanks! its a fun job. next school year I am teaming up with the shop teacher and we are doing an autoshop club. We are going to rebuild the SBC that I took out of my land cruiser.
I will give you a shout when I get the top in. I am glad I...
I know SOR has them but I ended up making one from a waxed canvas tarp and some emt. Quick and dirty but it works well and was not difficult.

Swoop one for a killer price HERE.
It’s really not awful- truck itself and the underside/ running gear is pretty ok, especially for 55 yrs old. Fort Wayne placard aside, this has been in TN or AL the past 10-20yrs. Rain gutter on the top is the worst (but is also a part you *can*...
Hey y'all. As Land Cruisers do, they tend to multiply. I've had and been working on a 99 LX470 for several years, and through that, got to know my local Land Cruiser group. And, of course, eventually one of those guys had a project truck that...
The Tundra is gassed and loaded.
Headed north on US 77 this AM. Meeting @jonesy4x4 today at RCLC for the Mule 1.0 tub handoff. 👍
All indications are we’re thundering down the home stretch for completion of 2.0. I’ll post up some pics of the...
I put oil back in the engine last night. I know this engine takes 8.5 quarts, but the dipstick showed full after adding 5 quarts. I plan on trying to start it up this weekend, so I imagine I'll need to add some more oil after running the engine...
