Stuck in low mode- Pogo Sticking - Worth having mechanic check the pump/height sensors or just rip and replace AHC system?

More Information for AISIN HST021 - https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=6403818&cc=1363575&jsn=249 Or just change the whole thing. Don't think I have the little articulated socket to get the old linkage off. Could I just get it into neutral height and then peg the big arm against the...

That bottom ball joint is totally frozen up. I'm thinking I can try and get it loosened up and wire tie the broken linkage together until I can order a new one. 48907-60031 Genuine Lexus Part - https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/lexus-link-sub-assy-height-control-sensor-front~48907-60031.html...

Thank you this was also my first thought. Does the forum have a preferred law firm which offers us a discount based on our forum clout?

I'll take the one in your head. $20 is a fair price, I am well versed in brain surgery. I can promise you that I can have it removed on your lunch break. I'll even throw in free stitches and anesthetic since you've been such a pal. Whaddaya say?

I used some duct tape to try and reconnect the rod and sure enough, it works again. Now the question is do I buy a whole new unit, or try to just replace the threaded rod and hope for the best?

Well Gents, I fingered it out. Turned the wheel and sure enough the threaded rod had snapped. Picture attached It's obvious to me how this happened. Sabotage. Maybe it was my neighbor who drives the BMW x7 (people who have more money than sense often act maliciously out of jealousy) Maybe...

Esteemed Gentlemen of the Mudless Forum, My '02 has 104,000 miles on it and on the way home from the golf course today I noticed I was stuck in low mode even though the indicator says it's in neutral and I was "pogo sticking" on the bumps. No error lights on the dash. Fluid level looked good...

Case says it was changed at 464xx. I assume the water pump was done around then? How urgent do you think think this is? That's about a $700 job if I remember correctly?

Esteemed Gentlemen, I'm about to roll over to 100k on my 02 (993xx) right now. I'm going to send it in to a mechanic I trust to give it some attention (I don't have the space or equipment to do this myself even though I know I could, so please spare me the d*ck wagging) I changed the heater Ts...

Proud owner of another 100 series. This one is a unicorn.

Good deal. God bless those old fogeys with heated garages.

No hard feelings m8. Believe me, I'm a fellow cheapskate. I was expecting $300, $350 max. It hurt to pay that. But they've been good to me and my family before. The owner let me pay for a timing belt and new power steering column in installments when I was in college and hard up for money, so I...

Yeah, in retrospect I should have gone to the guy I bought it off of who works at a Lexus dealer and said he'd hook me up with his guy in the service center. Looking at the bill, they changed out 6 hoses, so maybe they didn't know exactly what they were doing? Or they ****ed me. Either way, I...

Update, I got the Ts and hoses changed out at a local mechanic I trust ($620) I toyed around with doing it myself, but I've been crushed at work and don't have a back up vehicle were I to fumble the work. Thank you for the advice. I feel good knowing that I can sleep well knowing that my...
