Water temp and fuel level gauges not working

Just FYI, my issue was a bad body ground at the ground screw on the center of the body under the tailgate. There seem to be two separate issues with the fuel/temp gauge problems. One is gauges spiking which requires cleaning the contact on the back of the fuel gauge and the other is the two...

Water temp and fuel level gauges not working

I'll check there first. I had hoped it might be something like that. I knew you guys would know more than I about it. I'll pull the cluster this evening. Thanks!

Water temp and fuel level gauges not working

The water temp and fuel gauges stopped working at the same time on my 1987 FJ60. I started it up this morning and neither worked. All of the rest of the gauges and controls work like they should. Does anyone have a clue as to what might be wrong? Thanks, Norris

    Shocks to stop the "bounce".

Thanks guys. I'll try to figure out which part # Bilstiens to use. Just thought maybe someone had been down this road before. Does anyone know what springs are labeled as "Standens". Did a Google search and found there is a "Standen" spring company but they have no applications for Landcruisers...

    Shocks to stop the "bounce".

I've a '87 60 with only 110000 miles. Just before I bought it the previous owner had installed a 3-4" lift with new Rancho shocks. Not sure what brand the lift is but there are still labels on the springs that say "Standen". The FJ drives very well but bounces after going over bumps. I feel the...

    Front axle/spring wedge

Will going back to original length shackles help? It drove perfectly straight with no wandering before the lift and extended shackles.

    Front axle/spring wedge

Don't know the specs. Toyota dealer just says the alignment is within specs. Tie rod ends are tight. Guess I'll try the 4 degree shims. Thanks

    Front axle/spring wedge

I have a 2 1/2" lift with 4 1/4" pin to pin shackles on my 87 FJ60. It has a bit of "road wander" when driven on the hwy. The alignment specs are very close to perfect. I've heard I may need a wedge between the spring and axle to compensate for the longer than stock shackle. Would I need a 2, 4...
