Got the entire actuator today. Put it in the truck and was tested and good to go in about 20 minutes. Just remember to test the door lock and opening mechanism before you install the door card just in case you missed a step. Also, test the...

I find myself just eating it on the high-cost OEM parts because they might not be available soon. I coach myself with internal thoughts of "be glad you can even buy this part, new, OEM still."

Yep I agree, time is money…tho I admire the guys who dive into projects like this. It really helps out the LC community. Sadly it’s becoming increasingly difficult to find some of these parts

Bought the motors from Amazon then decided to just pony up for full replacememnt actuators. Obviously this cost more, but it took way less time, and now I'm good for another 20 years.

    7. WD40 and heat on the handle door tabs makes it easier to unhook the yellow and orange plastic anchors. 8. Save everything from the broken parts. You never know when you'll need to scavenge it for a future fix. i'm going to replace the...

Keep us posted I’m curious on how they work out for you. I’ve been struggling with broken locks for a while, my rear are replaced with ones I got from rock auto those only worked for a few years.

I found it on eBay. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are genuine AISIN. My plan is to replace the actuator with the eBay actuator and then break into the broken one to see what type of motor is in it and replace and use as a backup. If...

Where did you find the “whole” unit? I could only find the rear… my local parts guy stated the front are discontinued?

Someday I'd like to add more capacity, would a brake upgrade really be needed? How much does gasoline weigh? 6.2-6.4 pounds per US gallon 7.2 pounds per Imperial gallon for the small rear tank (24 gallons): 24 gallons x 6.4 = 153.6 pounds (US...

I‘m not sure what the LRA instructions said at the time of my install, but when LRA sent me a new fuel pump, due to the problems I was having (intermittent no flow with the appearance of it working because I could hear the pump working), I...

Nice. I like the dual filler neck. 100/105 series had this style dual filler. Much better than the 80 series neck with diverter valve.

Oh I don't think removing the resonator is necessary. I did some mean things to mine at Moab and Rubicon

Transmission Jack base helped hold the tank. The tank tucks up really well. This is the 24gal version, it took 25gal at the pump. The rotopax badge is a must.

In case it helps some one else. This took me half a day in my tilted driveway, spare was already removed. I mostly followed the instructions, these are just some things I did that are 80 specific. Included parts supplied with the tank, front...

I made a point about how much value there is in paying a tiny bit extra to support members of this community, that provide parts and invaluable resources. In no way have I said "Don't go to your local dealer! They are ripping you off!". People...

Awesome Tool profile pic! I just started using the wolfbox so I can’t give too much of a review, but I will say it takes a minute to orient yourself with seeing a back up camera and not a reflection. It took me a minute to get used to that...

Nice! I'm so tempted to try one of these Wolfbox mirrors. Please let us know what you think of it! @Ballsie , Please let me know if you design a console for the Yaesu FTM-400 faceplate!

Hello all just an update I was able to order “spacers” for my wolfbox mount. The spacers allowed me a gap to access the memory card and cables underneath the 3-D printed center consul.

I've also installed the 3D overhead console. Very happy with it. Many thanks to @Ballsie for great modeling and printing. Space was left for an 8-switch Auxbeam control panel as well as a fuel gauge for the secondary tank. Since the sun visors...

I think the FSM and the Factory Repair Manual for the LX450 are the same thing. I have the two volume set of the RM515U (Vol. 1 & Vol. 2) in hard-copy. They are reprints but they seem identical to what would have come from Lexus. I purchased...
