The bearing reads jlmi04948 And the race reads jlmi04910

Yup, visually the bearing looks the same. It seems like it’s 1-2mm too small to slide over the spindle

Thanks for the reply Mark and sorry to confuse with my mixup of words. Yes I can’t slide the assembled hub and rotor onto the spindle and I also cannot hand slide the new inner bearing onto the spindle by itself. I made sure to seat the new races all the way and there doesn’t appear to be...

Just about to finish up the DS of my front end job. I got timken wheel bearings from cruiser outfitters. Went to put the rotor onto the axle and it wouldn’t seat all the way back. Finally grabbed the other timken bearing for the passenger side and tried to slide it onto the shaft and it won’t go...

Do you mean the passenger wheel? I thought that was maybe what happened too but looked inside with a flashlight and they definitely came loose and are gone. Can’t think of how this would have caused it unless they were already loose and the jostling around just made them come out completely.

Took my 91 in to a shop nearby my house for an alignment and tire rotation this past week. On my way to work this AM my wheel came off while driving down the highway. Replaced some leaky brake lines and decided to do a full fluid flush while I was at it...glad I did. One of the bleeder valves seemed like it was still closed even though it was loosened. Then a bunch of debris from god knows what finally came spewing out with the fluid. :rolleyes:

I’m trying to replace my frame to axle hose on my 91. Is there some trick to getting this fitting out of the hose on the frame side? It’s unscrewed as much as it will go but I can’t pull it out of the hose. Sorry first time doing brakes and I guess I don’t fully know what I’m doing...
