Great event as usual.
Just wanted to thank everyone for getting me out of the trail safely. Unfortunate, but is good to have the support.
Thanks again, and will see you next time.
PS: came home to a different kind of carnage by ophelia on the NC coast.
Well well
Believe it or not. Touching that breaker above the fuse panel made a clicking noise and after that current tester starter showing voltage.
All speeds of A/C work now.
Thanks guys, you always come through
Thanks jblueridge and rhino
I was driving on a hot day at full blast AC and pop noise heard and AC stopped blowing. Assumed it was the blower motor or resistor.
Took down the whole dash, ordered part # 87138-90K00 for new resistor, checked the blower with 12V and works fine.
Tested electrical on the actual switch part#...
The holes are standard within toyota range for the 80-90 ‘s land cruiser - 60 series
Chrome was the thing in the mid 90’s, but you can find the black ones on that same style. If you want electric they are available, but will need retrofit installation.
Thanks for the reply
My FJ60 does not have that either and the plate is there just for protection.
I’m just going to remove the wood and leave it alone.
Will update the group if anything weird happens
thanks again
Thanks for the reply
Pic is from 1988 FJ70, new to me ;)
Bought the car 2 weeks ago with long brakes, clutch with deep pedal and vibration at 60 kph (yes it is a south american car) no mph conversion.
U joint cracked and changed all of them with resolution of vibration.
Bleed brake and clutch...
Found the transfer case has a piece of wood supporting it. I do not think there’s a bracket or OEM support for this, at least not in the 60 series. Last time i did the clutch in the 60, only the trans had a support bracket.
pls check yours and let me know what you see
Thanks
