Thanks for the help. After a 20 min drive I had one rocker that was noisy, turns out the valve cover was a bit tight causing the noise. Cover off no noise. Good power and cleaner exhaust smell. Taking a longer trip tomorrow, will see how it sounds. Thanks again

Thanks for the reply. It is just a slight bump of the wheel between marks with little noticeable movement to the rocker arms. Not a big deal to repeat the adjustment if needed but sounds like im ok.

I got turned around and adjusted my valves on a 78 2f with the pointer at the bb instead of the line on the flywheel. It is quiet and runs great. Just curious if this little bit off tdc really matters. I may just be splitting hairs.

I just finished the replacement of all rods and ends on my 78. I used big daddy off road heavy duty rods from jtoutfitters. I got a drag link and drag link end from fj parts in Cali. All together three hundred plus but now all is new. Wasn't sure about the heavy duty rods but know they are on...

Many years before I knew about this resistor when mine burned out i patched into the switches low side and ran it through another switch. Nets me high speed in front then pull the other switch and the rear fan kicks on high. Most of the time here in Missouri I run both anyway. Just another...
