When I burp my 40, I park so the front is basically at a 45* angle up.
Rock the truck, squeeze every hose I can reach multiple times. It always amazes me how much more air is in there, burp funnel or not.
Shop air in the cylinder using a compression tester adapter to keep the valves from dropping.
Extra rocker arm, pedestal and cut-down shaft. I cut the end of the rocker arm off and welded some 1” square tube to the end. 1.25” round would be...
Before you put the tool on: grab the classic orange Harbor Freight deadblow and give the top of the valve a good whack. That will knock the keeper that’s been sitting in that spot for 40 years loose. Afterwards you’ll compress the spring with the...
Closed on 20 acres so spent some time to cut in a road to get the HJ back there. Chainsaw decided to bitch out so I used a bunch of snatch blocks, my winch, and that Japanese deisel to just pull trees out of the way.
I took off my wheels and painted them black. They only came primed and they had faded a lot. Also took off the spare tire carrier and basket to grease the spindle they open on.
(apparently my iphone takes too good/big of pics so having trouble...
I'm happy to organize this trip!
Alright, so let's plan on meeting at the Home Depot in Bernalillo Chicky's coffee in Bernalilloat 7:30-7:45am on Thur 4/18/24. It'll take us close to six hours to get to the trailhead from Bernalillo.
Once we...
I might do the same too. Actually, that's really all I've done in the past, just crash the party and hang with friends. This year, I might go the "fun way" by way of Lockhart basin trail from south to north, which will spit you out at above...
I have never been to Cruise Moab and I am not signed up for the actual event. I am planning to go April 18-21 just to check it out and hopefully run a few trails on my own but would prefer to do this with others. Is anyone else already going...
Akuma is a roller again.
Frame back from powder, 80 axles with Eaton elockers, Dobinsons IMS suspension. NEXT UP-- LS3 EROD and custom built 4L65E install.

If you've ever done a build like this yourself, you'll realize how it's worth every dime. Particularly when it is obvious there's love for the vehicles involved, not just profit.
Here is my COR bumper.
It was cheap, and all I had to do was weld it together. However it was a LOT of work.
Bumper Design itself is absolutely fantastic.
Borderline worth it.
Yeah, that came back to bite me at one point (I couldn't get it out of 4L), and so I dug in and could definitely see why. V.2 will have a transfercase from Valley Hybrids with a different s***ing configuration (twin sticks), along with a custom...
Another playground run.
Just wrapped up a front axle rebuild into a refreshed straight housing, a full knuckle rebuild, new front brake lines, a Dobinsons IMS kit from @samc2447, caster shims from @orangefj45, & tire rotation.
TD- was sold to a large AUS parts company. I dropped the US vendor status and now support and sell Dobinsons only. I have not heard many good things since the change for TD.
It was a great product and AUS made and supported , but now the rumors...
I put on the MAF 2 piece along with their complete exhaust with the test pipe. I haven't had any troubles with it yet (about 5 years). Not loud but it comes alive when I get on it. The header and the ceramic coating is quality.
Unless your Exh manifold is cracked, etc., you won't gain much with a header. MAF sells what they call a 'Test Pipe kit', with the proper ends that is a bolt in replacement for the CAT so you don't have to butcher the system in case you ever...
Just removing the catalytic converter removes so much back pressure that the engine with the stock manifold- feels like it has headers. Really opens it up.
