I prebought a 3 day permit from wa dmv before going into Canada to pass through the boarder and drive to Mt, worked fine Myrle

Swapped out the fuel guage in panel and it works, 12vlt fuel gauge in the 24vlt panel seems to be jsut fine, temp reads lower than before but at least a indicator, new needle on the speedo and all is well. no longer need this item

Title says it all need a 24vlt panel or I could get by with a 79+ speedo unit only which could be for a fj40 US. Myrle

Are you talking glow light or glow screen left of the steering wheel, the glow screen on my 81 bj42 does not glow properly if a couple of glow plugs are bad, that being said I put in 10 vlt glow plugs by mistake in a 24 vlt system and burnt up the glow screen and then there was no power at all...

Why would you want to do this, I would get the manifold then wait until get the turbo and then install the package. it wouidl take homebrew adapters to use the new manifold with a loss of power the bends required to adapt the manifold for NA use. IMO

Yep, I was hoping for a simple cure but it is going to be a matter of going through all the motions to find this one, I am thinking ground right now as the turn indicators are not completely going off between blinks, fuses are good but never know about the panel back. I will let you know...

I am finaily back on the board , my problem is that while changing my speedo cable on the bj42 I lost both the temp and fuel guages, did a search and found about the simular problems in the 40 forum and some ideas of where to start, I am jsut wondering if there is something special I should...

The only solution I came up with was to change the heater out to an earlier model and mount it behind the tuffy. if it meant tuffy or no rear heat I would go without the tuffy here.
