Nice rigs man! Is that a 45 hauling kitty litter? :)
Fairly sure it was in Bagdad (Freeport-McMoRan company town!), but will confirm when I get home. His address was on a few of the parts he ordered from Man-A-Fre when they were still in CA. EDIT - confirmed Bagdad, AZ.
Interesting about AZ...
Alrighty... dropped the 3-speed plus transfer case off with Mark @65swb45, and caught up with him for a bit yesterday morning. I didn't know this, but Mark can get you just about any part you need, not just the rare stuff that comes from his impressive stash of Cruiser parts, but anything that...
Was able to start the brake inspection this afternoon, started with the front passenger side. This was impossible to pull off yesterday, but some fire and a BFH made quick work of it. Here's the mess:
The rears both looked great, no problems at all which is awesome. Will have to pull the...
Sometimes I just go out to poke around in the garage and find stuff that I don't expect to find. This time it was looking deeper in the glovebox and finding this gem just sitting there, waiting to go to the locksmith for a key. I have a new lock and key kit on order from Amayama, guess I don't...

I was able to save a few bucks just finding some on the 'bay and calling the DMV to confirm they were good before buying. Took a little time but it worked out. Poor lady at the DMV was annoyed but oh well. :)

Well hmm. Closer inspection of the passenger front wheel shows a lot of brake fluid on the tire. It spins freely, and turning the front adjuster a bunch didn't do anything to tighten things up. Plus the front looks like this, a yummy (but of course very much expected) mess of brake fluid, moly...
A little bit of stuff tonight - flipped the plug on the windshield wiper switch so that it is actually off when the switch is in the "off" position, and then was able to get it on the road for about 3 minutes to get a sense of how bad the brakes are. It seems like the booster is pretty shot...
