Help?????!!!!!!
Ok, I have all the factory manuals for my 96 except the wiring diagram. I need the pinout colors and orientation for the female side of the plug for the rear O2 sensor. I am swapping in a new low mileage 1FZ and I pulled the wires out of the plug when removing the old engine...
Ok, so longtime cruiser head here with a difficult electrical problem. Purchased a great condition 99 LX470 a few weeks ago and front door actuator wasn't locking or unlocking from switch or remote. All 4 other actuators are working fine. Read a bunch of threads on how to replace just the motor...
Hi Andy,
Well that is quite the setup there!
Both of my trannys are out of gas vehicles and they both seem to shift before 2500 as long as I'm not into the throttle too much. If I am heavy on the throttle it will stay in the gear longer due to how tight I have the kickdown cable. I like it...
Hi Andy, did you build your system like mine off that little cam on top of the injection pump?
It sounds like your system may still be a little tight. If you let up on the throttle and it up shifts to the next gear, then that is usually a sign that the cable is on the tight side. Also, if you...
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that this should also work for the A440 trannys as well since the bolt patterns are the same. :)
And for file format for me, I would like .dxf
Thanks a bunch!
Don
Hi Matt,
Glad to see you got this going! I get requests every week or so from guys on here wanting me to build them adapter plates. I think you will definitely have some business from this if you start making these, especially if you start making the plate that adapts the Toyota torque...
Flcruiser is running one and he likes his NV4500 behind the 4 cylinder isuzu. I don't think any of the USA Isuzu manual trannys that will bolt up to the 4bd series engines ever had overdrive. Non-USA Isuzu's got an overdrive 5 speed but even if you find one you have to build an elaborate...
Hey, great to see another Isuzu swap going into a 40 series! I've done two and I'm collecting parts to do a third now. I love these engines. Extremely well built and designed engines that will last many hundred thousand kilometers. Are you planning to install oil squirters for the piston...
I would definitely go with the NV4500 if you are going to go with a manual tranny.
The H55f is not tall enough gearing in the overdrive ratio for a diesel with 4.1 gears like the 80 series and I don't think 5th gear is strong enough on that tranny. Flcruiser had one blow 5th gear going...
Hi Iceberg,
I love this engine and have put a few thousand miles on it since my initial mileage calculations. My turbo was spooling a little slow so I turned up my fuel a little and the engine performs even better than before. The downside is it lost a little in the mileage department. I put...
CJF is right, the TV cable on the electronic A442 is only for increasing line pressure, not for downshifting. Good catch! And yes, the simplest solution is always the best to try first.
Don
CJF, I certainly didn't mean to offend you. I am merely trying to help a fellow mud member diagnose his problem. I'm sorry I missed the threads on TV cable tightening here on the 80 section as I do spend more time on the 60 and 40 sections.
The fact that the fluid is dark and smells is a...
I would certainly check the TV/kickdown cable for proper adjustment. But if you tighten it and start downshifting at 1/2 to 5/8 throttle, then you know you have it too tight and are just covering up the real problem by increasing line pressure with the TV cable.
I'm not saying that...
