I have been getting the code 71 on a 93 80 I just put back together. Check the egr temp sensor and it is open at any temp. Put it in a temp bath at work and same result. Bought a new one today and installed and we will see how it goes. Just an fyi it read 266k ohms right out of the box at 68 deg...

I bought a. 80 last year in the same color in the LA area. Paint is in similar shape. Slowly making improvements.

Beno, Are you still a source for the parts you recommended in this thread? I have a 1993 FJZ80. Head is off and looking gather parts for reassembly. Along with the head gasket kit also looking for intake and exhaust stud kit, and heater hose kit and any other parts you may recommend. Thanks.

I have done the spring flip front & rear on my 40 and gained 3.5 inches on each axle, total of 7 inches. what I did find is a 4" lift spring is a little shorter than a stock spring so my shackles were almost straight up and down and would not let my springs flex well,so I moved my stationary...
