I know this has been covered forever but i feel the need to post about my recent experience.
Our shop replaced all of the external bulbs on a 1996, 80 series and purchased a CF13 flasher locally as the selling company didnt know what flasher to use on the 80.
When we got the OE flasher out...
The Gen 4 engine/6l80 was avail with a manual transfer case, that used a simple switch wired to the E38 exam to signal lo range.... We should be able to reflash the ecm for that T/C.
To get the low range shift schedule to work.
I have included the bcm in my LC9/6L80 swap along with the cluster, (it fits decent in the 80 dash) I plan to use an arduino to supply the needed signal on the can bus for low range signal, it works on the jeep swaps so I signed on. Stay tuned this winter....
Well Frank, you may be correct....but what if the truck had under steer before adding more rear roll stiffness, and with the new bar (more rear roll stiffness) the truck is now neutral? Then would it be ok to install the larger rear bar?
I get what you are saying....however nearly every vehicle...
That is beautiful! Nice work, but I must pick a bit.
I see some wires zip ties to steel brake lines in one of the last pics, please don't do this, too much heat causes the insulation to soften, if the wire strands short to the metal line, it can arc a hole in the line.....ta-da, no brakes!
Same...
Your work in the BCM integration is inspiring, I too will be using a BCM, for all those items, I will also be including the Silverado instrument cluster for full gauges and DIC.
To improve low range shift points I plan to use either an arduino to send CAN messages or use a TCCM to do that job...
Sorry for lack of new pictures my 80 project is on hold for summer, I have posted a few of the pan and diff clearance.
I have yet to Learn how to put a link on my posts to my build.
Stock suspension at is point so no lift.

I have some experience with older r-12 to r134a conversions and am very interested to learn how your upgrade works.
I am in the middle of a v8 conversion and want to upgrade my condenser while the nose is off and the radiator is being replaced.
Keep me posted please.
