Thanks for all the great info! So the PO was pretty useless to the information on the truck......so I dont know what kind of bellhousing it has; do you happen to have any tips on how to ID which kind of clutch I should be looking at chevy or ford?

Hi, So it looks like I need a new clutch for my 1970 4bt swap with a ranger OD with a 4 speed from a 79 FJ. There are a lot of ck itch replacement options but I would like to hear some recommendations on which would be a good match with the 4BT. Thanks for the advice!

So of course something else now......apparently it needs a new clutch. Took it to AAMCO.....they wanted to charge about 1400 for it......there is no way in hell that could be right; any clue what I should be looking at paying for a new clutch on a 4 speed with ranger OD? Thanks for the help yet...
