Here is the new pump with the kit and since I was in there a JimC smog pump replacement pulley kit. Both were super easy to install. Just take your time and don't put the pulley on the pump backwards! I'm waiting for the thread sealant in the pump plugs to cure then filling her up with fluid.

I just tore it apart again but my dad was there and presto now it works. Not sure if maybe the little connector part inside wasn't lined up.

@FJ621988OEM I'm having a similar issue. I replaced the cylinder because the key wouldn't turn past ACC and that hasn't corrected the issue. I fear the issue is somewhere in the steering column upper bracket which is NLA. If you get your new cylinder in let us know if that works!

Do you still have the conversion kits? I want/need to upgrade my pump but I don't really have the tools to modify the existing bracket.

Did you ever get her put back together? I was working on mine today and snapped the dang bolt so need a replacement.

Looking for the Secondary Slow Jet Valve. I know there is a way to bypass it but want to try this way first.

What are the odds you still have the slow jet valve on the carb?

My 85 is having power surges and the battery gauge is going haywire.What might cause this?Please help if you can.
