Ive cut just like the picture, down the center of the old weld. I did grind the old weld off. Seems like its close to 1/4'' and I cant see A seem. I cut 3/8'' from outer edge of weld. I might not be quite deep enough. I dont want to ruin my axle. Thanks for the info.

Can someone tell me a part # for the front brake line that goes from side of frame to the hard line on the axle. I did A SOA with factory springs. My Napa store says #38009 from the tec section is not a brake line. I need all three lines for the front and I have disc brakes on my 72 FJ40. Thanks
