Downey includes the proper output shaft with their adaptor....if you plan on rebuilding the transmission, just swap the shafts . I'm guessing that A/A does the same, but their adaptor is about 5 inchs longer than Downey's.

I am running the pump on the drivers side down low...what car/truck should I look for at the junkyard that would have it mounted differently ?
The set up is saginaw pump and box
Im getting closer to completing my v8 swap and have now come across a problem with the steering shaft and Saginaw pump being in the way.
I have a 1978 sbc block with the stock pump brackets and a saginaw PS setup
Can I mount the pump up high with different SBC mounts ? or maybe on the other...
Anyone want to buy mine ? I got it from JTO and now am doing a V8 conversion.
Its on my 72 and has about 100 miles on it.
email me at jsp500@pacbell.net
I would like to get rid of the stock parking brake completly, can I just bolt the Drive shaft onto the back of the Transfer Case ?
I'm going to do the rear disc w/parking brake conversion and thought getting rid of the parking brake drum would let me have a little longer Drive Shaft...
Other than than ease of use...is there any reason you need all 4 of these ?
could you just use one at a time ? splitting the cost with a 3 other people ?
I sent you a PM with my home phone...call on turkey day if you want and we can talk about it...just dont call between Noon and 4pm California time...I'll be in a food induced comma

Nice write up about the fan and relay. If you go to the tech section(pirate site) and do a search there is a pretty long thread about this and other fan related stuff.

Im going to hang onto the crank pulley in hopes that somebody wants to buy the engine as a hole (not a spelling mistake :) . But all the rest is available, I can take the parts off this weekend and ship them monday or tuesday.
It's an F motor out of my 72 FJ40.
I remembered about the Alt. That one has the fat pully and the orginal that went bad on me is the one that I changed to a skinny. I never really drove this rig much, I bought it and started changing things and have'nt really stopped since.
I that alt pulley a fat one or a skinny one ? It looks like a fattie to me...I cant remember
Anyone else need any F motor stuff ? or the whole thing ? minus of course the parts that cajun may want.
Cajun...you might want to consider that custom alt bracket for the York air compressor...that...
