1200 mile trip this weekend for ONSC Carolina Relic Run.. no issues at all other then two injectors becoming unplugged for some reason, and the turbo is still dumping oil. Nothing that actually required any wrenching on the trip.
I actually...
I pulled the diff from the 80 series FF I picked up a while back, it’s tight and looks like it was rebuilt not too long ago. There are paint markings present on the ring gear and the thrust washers looked good. I installed an Aussie Locker in it...
I see a charge for "grind lifters" on your invoice. I do not see anything about the cam. You don't "polish and grind" lifters. You resurface them so that the surface is as new and then you install them with a new or "reground" (made new again)...
TD- was sold to a large AUS parts company. I dropped the US vendor status and now support and sell Dobinsons only. I have not heard many good things since the change for TD.
It was a great product and AUS made and supported , but now the rumors...
The 60 is preparing for its next phase in life. I've always tried to be patient and find the specific parts that let me build this truck exactly like I want it to be.
It's a tool before a classic truck, and I won't change that.
So, the 2F is...
AC is charged. Wipers now work again and I can throw the linkage back in tomorrow.
We’re almost ready to put carpet back into it and daily it.
40* vent temps in 70* weather tonight. We had to charge it again with r134. I was ready to put r12...
My buddy @RiggityJ came and visited. We did a tune up on his 40 and then traded trucks while I benchmarked it.
The 60 is a really turn key, non nonsense driver. Runs better than it looks and that’s my goal.

It's the 2-Port Lower Thermostat housing for the 60 series that require smog compliance. We will have the item listed at $89.99.
The factory casting this part for...
Just wanted to come in and introduce myself to the group. I just picked up my first FJ60 ('85) about 2 weeks ago and already loving this thing. My wife has been trying to convince me to buy a bronco for years... but that's something that I have...
I also did oem belts. My last set was from 2018 and I had out 50,000 miles on them. I had a random intermittent chirp from a belt delaminating.
It’s dead quiet now.
We are super happy with this kit.
The truck sits at a very nice level with stock tire size and it rides very nice with new suspension components.
Some slight changes need to happen with later 60 and 62 vehicles in the rear; spoke with...
One of our other stock Japanese suspension customers ( @dmc ) stopped by today for some goodies.
He's extremely happy with how it rides and handles with the new suspension
About down to the rolling chassis again to start hammering out all the welding and misc frame plate additions.
And some new fork extensions since the Cummins bent my others......
