Hello all...
I had a very fustrating drive home last night :-[. I've been waiting all year to see some snow and finally got some last night. I locked the hubs and jumped in the Cruiser, shifted it into H4 and off I went. Started going down the road and the damn thing kept popping out of 4...
I drove an FJ62 the other day and both the rear power windows moved like slugs in a slug race where the slugs were past their prime. At one point I had to help the window up by pushing up on the glass. I asked the owner about and he was blown away- said he couldn't figure out why they weren't...
Hello all...
So, most FJ62's that I've seen still have the factory tape deck- you know, that big huge monster... The other day I saw one with a nice modern CD player flush to the top of where the old factory tape deck use to be and then a dash pocket below it like on the FJ60 dashes...

So the other day I was on a muddy, wet road so I locked the hubs and put it in 4high. It did fine until I came to a steep grade and as I was climbing the hill my T-case popped out of 4hight twice. What's that all about?

Well the time has come to put my 1985 FJ60 up for sale. A friend is selling his 86 that I've had my eye on for a while so I need to find mine a new home.
I bought the truck a year ago in Cal. where it had spent it's intire life. I flew down and drove it up 1200 miles with no problems at all...
A good friend of mine has his eye on a 1991 FJ80 that still looks and seems to drive like new. But he's worried about the 190K miles that are on it. He's wondering if/when the 4.0 goes out on him, if it's possible to drop in a FZJ80 engine in it without to much mod. He's thinking it would be...
I was just on SOR and saw that they are blowing out some Aftermarket Bumpers for FJ60s for $60 each. They're black instead of the chome. I think they'd look alright on a 60 but I don't know if they're made well or what gage steel they are. Anyone have these on their rig. Seems like a good deal...
Trevor-
Haven't done that yet.
But these are all things that need to be replace anyway is how I look at it. 189K is a lot of mile for parts like these... and I want to get another 100K out of it.
Hello All-
I've got a lot of slack in my steering that I'd like to be rid of. I figure I'll just start replacing stuff until it finally gies away. I thought I'd start with new tie rod ends and a new Steering Stabilizer since they both have close to 200K miles on them (Don't think...
