Dobinson’s is currently 3-4 months out on most of their springs. So, I’m contemplating
Running their 1.75 stock weight Comfort springs Up front (C59-234) and the C59-223V rear, which are currently available.
-No plans for aftermarket bumpers/etc on this 80., “maybe” a full length roof rack down...
IT'S FIXED!!!!.... I really didn't think about tire pressure. I had it serviced just before we left for the trip and guess what, they inflated to 44psi per the sidewall (20" Michelin LTX2's). Just let them down to 33 and took it for a 30mi. round trip and ALL IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!.
Thanks to...
It sold, quick! I truly had a line of buyers but the #1 took it no questions asked...giving it to his twin boys that are about to drive. I kinda wish i would've kept it to play with but too late now
c1999, I'm going to definitely try this. It is my understanding the wheels are TRD, but I don't know. I did notice they are utilizing stick on weights and not clip on so i may even have a balance issue I'm unaware of. Thanks for all the help and replies. I'm going to replace shocks with OEM...
Anesti, we love it. I put first dibs on it when a friend bought it years ago..., we've been waiting a while on this one. As for the ride, I guess i'll replace with OEM shocks and get the wheels balanced and torqued down evenly and see if that helps, then possibly look into one of the...
Since shocks seem to be the staring place, any recommendation on what (gas vs. hydraulic and Brand) to go with? I'm keeping this one stock since it's my wife's so a lift shock is too far down the road to even consider....for now
We have a new to us 2008 200 with 80,000 miles on it. I bought this to replace my wife's 99 100 with over 250K on the odometer and until a couple of weeks ago I had only driven it a couple of times around town. Well, after a 5hr. vacation drive, I became VERY disappointed in the way the 200...
So is replacing the rear gas shocks to hydraulic the fix? I don't mind trying, but would like a little more definitive answer before dropping 400-500 bucks on a possible fix. Any more suggestions? Thx
Arich, any updates to this thread? We are having the same issue on our new to us 2008 and it's extremely disappointing. Our 99 with 250K handled bumps way better. I'm thinking new shocks to start....definitely seems to be worse on right rear
Our 99 with 252,000 miles has started skipping/misfiring when under load, but it seems to be only once it's warmed up. I thought it was a coil pack starting to fail, but that has not happened yet. Problem does seem to be getting worse. I've checked it twice and it's showing no codes at all...
