I recently installed an Eaton front locker and am trying to place the switch.
Ideally I would put it where there is a blank as shown in the attached photo but the opening is a little small.
Where do folks normally place these switches and could I route out the opening or would this look funny...
Pulled both cvs and they both look fine.
Next steps? Can I disconnect the front driveshaft and try and turn the flange on the diff to see if I hear or feel anything weird? Remove the diff and take to stop or pull apart on my bench?
as a follow up i purchased all oem parts to do the timing belt, water pump, fan bracket, fan clutch, new hoses, heater t's, new radiator.
the noise and wobble have seemed to go away.
any comments on the ASIN vs OEM Toyota water pumps? The ASIN pumps seems to have review that indicate they fail at a high rate and the OEM look like they are Made in China. What do folks use and is there a source I should consider?
no but I have a stethoscope and new fan clutch coming next week. Sure sounds like its coming from the fan.
will do ps flush and new belt this weekend but suspect the fan
If the fan clutch doesnt fix it ill probably just do the timing belt/water pump etc and replace it all at once.

Good idea. The four nuts that tighten down to the blue plate that attaches the fan/fan clutch to the fan bracket are tight enough to turn the belt when I try and tighten them down anymore. They were not loose.
