    Cruiser Smells Funny

I have a '96 FZJ 80 and am experiencing the same thing, although not as much from the back as from the back half of the vehicle (strictly on the driver's side). I've poked my head underneath and everything looks normal. No wet spots, etc. If anyone has any idea, I'd love to hear about it as...

99 Landcruiser factory wheels & tires (NH)

Are the wheels 17"? I've got a '96 but have been considering putting 17" wheels on due to the abundance of hummer owners trying to dump their 315/75/r17's up here in Minnesota. They all want the 22" spinners....go figure. Let me know either way and shoot me a pic if you've got one. --Jeff

Anyone have a plow mounted on their 80?

Snow plow follow up Hey, I live in Minnesota and we just got socked last night with about 14" of snow. I am also looking at options and putting a plow on my '96 FZJ80 would be interesting to look into. Did anyone every reply to your original post? If not, does anyone have any ideas on...

'96 FZJ80 OEM Coil Springs - make offer

I just installed new "J" springs last spring and the OEM springs need to go. I don't know if they are worth anything, so someone take these off my hands. You need to pay for shipping at a minimum. I live in Minnesota (if that helps). Thanks, Jeff Nordeen

    Alignment quote - need advice

Hey listers, Quick question. I brought my '96 in for an alignment. They stated that they could not get the tie rod ends & sleeve adjustments to move one bit. Of course, they want to order me all new parts and go from there. In talking with some Toyota enthusiasts over the weekend, they...

Caster Correction kit issue - need help

Well, A fun night of pushing and pulling and I got the driver's side in. On the passenger side, I have the rear bolt in and a solid screwdriver through one of the front bolts. I've taken everything in my garage and placed it up against that front axle and hit it with the bfh, and I just can't...

when idling RPM drops to 600 and less

Hey MN Cruiser. I don't know if I can help much with your idling problem, but I will wave to you in traffic. I live just west of Eden Prairie, and man, every time we get dumped on, people forget how to drive.

Caster Correction kit issue - need help

Hey gang, I recently installed the OME J springs on my 96 TLC. Upon removing the control arms and having a local shop install the new OME bushings, I discovered that the front axle has moved and now the control arms are about 1/2 " short. I.e., I need to somehow rotate/move the front axle...

Got a problem now that it's cold out

Unbelievable! I've had that same problem for 3 Minnesota winters. The first time I heard the noise, it nearly sent me into the ditch. Very LOUD! Rick, I appreciate you going step-by-step in diagnosing the source of the noise. I took mine to a Toyota dealership (still under warranty) and...

    drive vibration

Hey, I was the original sender of the vibration message. In talking off-line with some of the 80's cool group list, I found out the following: 1). Most, if not all of the vibration will go away once I get the caster correction bushings on. I just haven't got around to that yet. 2). I was...
