Tear the outer one off with pliers. That one is cake. It's the one nearest to the block that is a drag. That's where a dremel tool comes in handy.

I don't think I would bolt something like that on my Land Cruiser.

This will be my first time tackling this job on any vehicle. Based on Slomo's writeup, it looks relatively simple. Assuming I have all the tools, parts, and materials at hand, can anyone give me an estimate of the amount of time I should expect to be working on this?

I guess the bigger tire would just cause the axle differential to send power to the smaller tire almost full time, when driving straight and that axle is being powered. There might be a bias in the center diferential to send power to the axle with the two matching tires more often. I can't see...

Changed the oil. Replaced rear brake pads. Cake. Then I drove it around and felt pleased with myself.
