Thanks, guys! Good guidance. Just what I was after. I haven't sold many cars., and kind of dislike doing it.
These Land Cruisers are special, and I thought it would be better to have it go to someone who knows what they are getting. It's a little bit sentimental, but also I hate seeing...
I’ll be selling my 97. I don’t see a better forum than this one to ask, so hope I don’t break a rule here. It’s been a great vehicle, basically a member of our family. Before I just dump it as a trade-in, I’d like to try to sell it to someone who appreciates it. Guidance would be appreciated.
We're having the first big snow storm since I bought the Land Cruiser. I put new Duratracs on it in June. I've been waiting for this storm so I could get out and experience the all-wheel drive with the tires. I have to say I'm impressed. The performance is definitely better than any of the...

The greasy fingers thing is a problem. Not to mention...
Thanks. I'll be careful of that. It wasn't a concern, actually, but I'd hate to have it happen.
It wasn't a problem. I do know how to use low range. I just happened to be climbing a steep hill in high range. You have to learn about the vehicle somehow.
Thanks for answering the...
I have two questions, not related to each other...
1) Took my Land Cruiser off road for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was dry and there were some very steep trails to climb. I attempted a couple of them in high range. On the steepest of them I ran out of power, as expected...
This will be my first time tackling this job on any vehicle. Based on Slomo's writeup, it looks relatively simple. Assuming I have all the tools, parts, and materials at hand, can anyone give me an estimate of the amount of time I should expect to be working on this?
I guess the bigger tire would just cause the axle differential to send power to the smaller tire almost full time, when driving straight and that axle is being powered. There might be a bias in the center diferential to send power to the axle with the two matching tires more often. I can't see...
