how do you identify bolt sizes from the service manual?

thanks. I was hoping they'd list lengths somewhere so I could just pick up some replacements and have them ready for when I get in there. Guess I'll have to actually crawl under there and look.

how do you identify bolt sizes from the service manual?

I'm reading the factory service manual and see that the bolts all have numbers beside them in the component diagram. as an example the front sway bar endlink bolt is 52 (530,38) and the bolts that hold the swaybar bracket to the frame are 18 (185,13) What I can't figure out is what those...

looking for rubber pads for ARB bumper

Thanks, I had never even thought of the bumper having a manual with part numbers. Looks like I need to track down ARB part 3500170.

looking for rubber pads for ARB bumper

When I bought my 99 it had an ARB front bumper with one of the rubber pads missing. I'm going to temporarily remove the bumper later this summer and figure that is the time to replace that missing pad. I can't seem to find spare parts for the bumper anywhere though. Can anyone point me to...

    Iron Man Pro Foam Review

I've got a set of the TOY013B-100 which are their 0-440lbs springs that I'll try first and will see how I like the ride when I get the rear bumper and spare back there. Rear springs are trivial to change If I need a change down the road.

    Iron Man Pro Foam Review

Yesterday in preparation of a roadtrip I remove what I beleive was the original shocks on my 99 LC with 188,000miles and replaced them with the foam pro's as well as greasing everything I could find in the driveshafts and changed the diff and transfer case oils. I still have the stock...

why would cranking torsion bars result in a smoother ride?

CV's are on the list of things to be replaced, I'm hoping to hold out on that until i put a lift in hopefully this summer (assuming shipping actually catches up) I'll keep an eye on the alignment. I think it was bad before I changed the ride height as the front had sagged a lot for some reason.

why would cranking torsion bars result in a smoother ride?

I've had a vibration at 50k/h and 90 k/h on my 100 for a few months now. As well every little crack in the road could be felt in the truck almost like I had zero suspension or the tires were hard as rock. Yesterday I was working on it and checked - the tires were at 30psi so not too hard at...

anyone ever do custom replacement cargo area panels?

I've seen some pretty nice builds for 60 series where they've replaced the rear cargo area panels. My cheap gray plastic ones are looking pretty beat at this point. Has anyone ever made their own replacements or done some sort of boxes that replace them on a 100 series? I'd love to see pictures.

    Horn on constantly...help

I've got rust around my windshield frame. The only way I can see fixing it is to pull the windshield do the repair, repaint that area and then get the windshield reinstalled. Is there any other way?

    Horn on constantly...help

I'm curious how the fog light and horn would be related? I don't have fog lights on mine (previous owner deleted with bumper replacement) so I can't test them to know if it's related to my horn issue. My horn issue corrected itself after a few days. I just pulled the fuse and ignored it...

    Horn is permanently on

that and the fact that the relay was getting hot was why I pulled the fuse.

    Horn is permanently on

It was nice out today and I just did some more testing. I put the fuse back in and the ****ing thing works fine now... My guess is it's moisture like was mentioned elsewhere. I did have the windshield replaced about a month ago and due to rust around the frame they let me know they couldn't...

    Horn is permanently on

The top of the relay slides off so I can see the terminal inside move and make contact when the battery is connected. I'll probably do a bench test to make sure that it is open until the switch is connected to ground
