    Well, i read all the threads here I could find and it seemed to indicate the dome light fuse was the correct one. it was blown so i replaced. i have dome lights but no fan :D I also have discovered the relay/sensor that clips onto the manifold has gone missing so that explains a lot.

    Trailer Brake Controller Connector

    The manual brake lever is useful when the trailer starts swaying. e.g. you pass a semi or don't watch your speed and go to fast and the trailer starts wobbling. Basically brake the trailer with the lever, but not your truck, and the entire rig goes straight as an arrow.

    Exact same place as my old suburban :) you do have to reach... Possibly a topic for a different thread, I noticed that the manual says it uses the same mechanism for ATRAC, etc for some kind of sway control. While you are towing it can detect sway and apply pressure to only certain wheels etc...
