I have read a lot on here about the Spring Over Axle. The majority list it as one of the top 5 mods for the FJ. I also know people that have done many and say that it made it ride worse and they switched back. My question to the crew is... why do you all love SOA? Is it just the chassis...

So what are the best ways to rust proof it without ruining it/maintain the look without it rusting further? Im thinking get the panels off. Wirebrush and treat the chassis and make a good job of it. Treat panels somehow and put them back on. Any advice would be great!

On the patina note... I am starting my do-up and not sure whether to try and save the original patina (looks awesome) or protect it for the long haul (I live by the sea) any thought or experience on keeping original patina?
