    I worked at Brake Manufacturer and we used Brake Fluid (DOT 3 at the Time). All the Seals were NBR so anything Compatible would Work. The Piston and Piston Area need to be Absolutely Clean.

    yes the diesel has an oil pump o-ring too but it's located between the oil pump and the engine block. it's a ton more work to replace then the gas engines. it could be the cause though, could also be crank seal, injection pump seal, timing cover...
