Hate to bring a dead thread back to life but i am looking at doing the 3.4l swap in my 86 22r4 4runner with a w56. How has the w56 held up? Also involved was the modification of the bellhousing? It looks to me that you notched the bellhousing in two spots and welded some metal spacers in. Correct?

I will be but my questions pertains to the distance between the holes on the ubolt plate. At a later date I will be doing a ubolt flip but for now i will be using original plate with the lower shock mount.
