Maiden voyage from SJ to South Tahoe to Vegas via Alabama Hills since getting the '21 LX with Icon Rebound Bronze 17" and 285/70R17 BFG A/T KO2. Luckily I missed the second wave of the storm before heading out of South Tahoe.
I can answer the third one.
Yes you need to enlarge 2 holes, one on each side, to let the "nut with a plate" fit the screw through the hole. No big deal just a step drill bit, a spray of your favorite spray paint, and you are good to go!
Mid way during install I have a couple questions:
1. which holes do the 2 long screw go
2. which screw and support goes in the middle center hole of the front skid? there seems to be a space between the skid and the chassis.
Thanks!
Yes, it fits the Slee tray perfectly. Not sure about whether it is deep cycle though. I have fridge, ham, and USB outlets attached to it via a Blue Sea fuse bar and 3 relayed switches. So far so good.
I hate to break the OEM jive here, I also have OME shocks and I think they could be the culprit for the harsh ride. I have about 50k on them and I think I can't stand them anymore.
Thinking about going full on Kings (Icon are harsh too) but really can't justify the price and ROI for a 17 year...
Thanks for all the help and detailed write up! Got this successfully installed and the results are beyond great!
However what I would recommend as a follow up product is a bracket or tray to mount the ballasts on. As right now I am just zip tied them to the stock conduits.
Just my $0.02.
