I’m having issues opening my FJ60 tailgate. I’ve removed the three panels, the rods are attached to the open lever and moving. The lock mechanism Seems to be functioning and I can see it engaging through the panel. The issue seems to be on the driver side lock not engaging fully. Note the gate...

Did you go with the Vintage 4x4? If so, what are your thoughts?

My buddy got one of the aluminum tubs and it is nice, but the alignment is not very good at all for the doors and top. I'm not sure if it was the Aqualu.

I've also been looking at the half tub from vintage 4x4 parts, I've requested more pictures and submitted a few more questions. The few pictures they have on ebay look good....but i would like to see more. They do have I believe a 60 day return, which would be somewhat a PITA but better than...

Glad he's ok, and just BUSY! He has had my carb for a few months, but all I've read about his rebuilds, it's worth the wait and money:D

So looking at the iron pig site, the FJ60 box looks to be mounted in front of the front shock tower, see below. FJ40 Power Steering Kit : Iron Pig Off Road, Toyota Land Cruiser experts So I'm assuming that you can't mount the FJ60 box in the original location:confused:

What is everyone's opinion on the best power steering conversion? I not trying to take the cheap route, but if I'm going to spend the money, I would like the best setup.

Does anyone have experience in cleaning some potentially clogged idle jets? My 40 starts fine, but as the choke flaps start to open as the engine warms up the engine dies... Checked for vacuum leaks, and didn't find any. I heard that dirty idle jets could cause this issue??
