Complete rear axle assembly with disc brake conversion. Rebuilt in 2012 with entire 3rd member assembly ordered from Randys which included Grizzly locker and 5.29 ring and pinion. Stainless steel brake lines. Less than a 1,000 miles on rear. Driven approximately 100 miles a year. No issues...

I recently had to install 8" springs to avoid rubbing with the 35s.
Yes there is some trimming in the rear. I think that is unavoidable if you want to wheel it with big tires.
It will be my first time so I can't wait.
I checked it out and the tickets and shipping add about $800.00 to the overall trip. However, it saves me and my passenger six days of travel time. That would be an extra week we would have to take off from work. So I think it will be worth it...

Mechanically it has a chevy V-8, SM420 trans, Grizzly lockers with 5.29s, longfield axles, 28 gallon tank, armor all around and 35" Pit Bull tires.
I know it won't be cheaper. I was thinking in terms of convenience. You can hop on a plane get off in Moab 5 hours later and have your truck waiting for you. That would be pretty impressive. I will try and find where you and the others posted about the costs of towing their rig. I am not sure...
I noticed a bunch of you went to Cruise Moab last year and drove and/or towed your trucks. I am also in NJ and would like to get my FJ40 towed to Cruise Moab 2013. Can any of you help with this? I am thinking along the lines of a trailer that can tow two or three cars.
