$650 OBO… This came in a project I bought and was told the motor had a blown head gasket. I never tested it. The transmission is supposed to be good but again its untested and the adapters are expensive when new. Im asking $650 OBO for the whole set up. Located in Burleson, TX 76028.

Alright. If that is in fact the case then I can understand a possible safety issue with welding the TRE.

I was wondering the same thing. I mean if its properly welded, whats the difference between this and the threaded inserts when considering safety and ability to handle the forces. I understand the issue of not having adjustment, but why is it so unsafe to have it welded?
