You cant buy the lower ball joints from Toyota like that. They only sell the whole lower arm.

Did the battery light illuminate? That's usually your sign for alternator.
If not, you are right to check fuel and or fuses that charge the battery. You'll need to get the multimeter out to verify and id do that before dropping money on the alt.
hmm so replacing your master door switch stopped the locks from double locking?? ill have to order that bad boy.
I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure the alarm will auto arm after 1 minute of being left alone. You can test this by closing the door and watching the security light below the radio...
My 2001 has three car seats in the back. Lifted and 34's. Its a great daily in the fact that I know it'll never leave me stranded, but its not great in the fact that i get about 12.5 mpg.
Only two of the back seats have LATCH anchors, but my oldest cant use them anyway so it works out for me...
It registers its closed on the dash and the dome light, both those go out when the door is closed.
But I guess to some computer or relay somewhere, no it does not.
If I ONLY unlock the drivers door and open the door, the alarm will go off. I have to unlock all doors by turning the key twice...
I have the same lock issue with the double unlocking as you have. It prevents you from programming your keys for keyless entry so for the entire 6 year ownership of my truck I've had to manually unlock the truck twice to open all locks so the alarm doesn't go off.
