I think we should wait on articulation to test and rti comparison before praising the kdss over the SDM. I think the LC will be as good, with a whole lot less complexity

has any one seen RTI scores or articulation comparisons of the new generation Sequoia? I cannot find a review or comparison of this anywhere. At most ive seen a pretty abysmal RTI score for the 2020 Sequoia at 351. But i have not seen much for the new gen. looking to compare with this tracker...

Trail hunter sequoia sounds awesome. The price tag I’d imagine to be LX territory. Suspension Travel brings up a good point. Can’t wait to see articulation test between 4R trd pro and the new LC. Maybe that will help me decide if there is any significant difference

Needing to replace my 100 series. Was set on new LC but looks like new 4Runner trd pro has the mods that I would want (tires, sliders, armor etc) with the same engine and around the same price. This is going to be hard choice.

I don’t have data to back this up, but I can guarantee you the sequoia has more articulation than a 100 series Land Cruiser

Why would he be disappointed exactly? It really does seem the sequoia is the best modern option we have on the Toyota side.

So if the payload and diff are smaller and weaker than the GX. It seems the GX is the prado successor and the LC 250 is in a lighter duty segment. That’s the feel I’m getting anyway. I love the way the lc250 looks but I’m in the same boat as the OP in that for remote touring applications the GX...

The major difference here being the 2uz has more maintenance but the 3UR has more problems. I’m not sure which I prefer more. I know the 3UR has way better performance but honestly I’m not really concerned with power as I am with reliability.

I wonder if the 6cyl hybrid in the sequoia will be any better on the long run. I find it to be the successor to the large Land Cruiser in the US

i called spc a few weeks ago. the newest most updated upper ball joint is a maintenance free ball joint with no zirk fitting.

Seems the consensus is the 2016+ interior feel is significant. I’ll have to research the method to mount a prinsu roof rack without the headliner, thanks for the heads up.

How do you feel about the transmission difference? Coming from my 4 speed 100 series I’m sure both are a huge upgrade
