I don't know enough about these lc's to be able to help you. However I recommend you try to find one from a mud member rather than a car lot, or even a craigslist. askmehowiknow.... good luck, have patience. Here is one in your price range and general area?

I am in need of both front turn signals with pigtails for my 1978 fj40.
I thought i'd take a shot here to see if anyone has a pair, in good repair , that they don't need.
Alternately; can one use an earlier {and cheaper} signal ? The round ones from they early 70's I like better...

Ha ha; you are absolutely right. I hadn't driven one with a hardtop and doors before. It is also extremely loud {in mine}, as well as un-wieldy. I was looking at the problem from my perspective only {blinders on} which is:
