I recently opened my front differential to install a Harrop e locker and found a tooth missing from the ring. I’m currently running 4.30 gears on 35s in a ‘98. I wanted to get opinions on should I regear to 4.88s or wait for a used 4.30 ring to pop up on the internet.

PRICE REDUCED ~450$ obo set of four the tires have 10/32 left on them. Brand new they had 15/32. The tires have less than 20,000 miles on them and have no punctures or patches. Just switched to 315 so I have no need for them anymore.
I just did it myself and as a novice, I could say the that the job is relatively easy the hardest part was getting the transfer case back up into the truck.
