It belongs to a shop/guy in the lower mainland "forthright trading". It's a dual cab hzj75 fire truck with a roof swap. There's some photos out there from 2021
/2022 showing the work on FB and maybe Instagram. Nice work, although the green is a shame IMO. I remember seeing it posted for...
I have a friend who has one and many parts have to come from Australia. Makes things like brake rotors etc very expensive. Nice truck, but a bit less comfortable than a similar cruiser IMO. Very narrow width wise inside for the driver/passenger compared to a 60/80 series cruiser.
Yep it does. And my experience selling my ln106 hilux in the covid bubble is you can ask $$$, but still the actual sale price is still a fair bit lower. I was about 25% under asking on mine, but it was still worthwhile posting high. (and I wanted a cruiser so had to cash out on the toyota tax)...
Ok, I didn’t realize he could register in BC as a non resident. Do you have a link? I couldn’t find anything with ICBC, but I now have a small child climbing me so my quiet time for the morning has expired.
It’s tough as Steve mentioned, you would have to call around. I’d be looking...
Hi John,
Vancouver and Vancouver Island are some of the most desirable parts of Canada, and the land base is limited by mountains/ocean. Therefore storage is somewhat hard to find and more expensive. Also on the coast there’s a high seismic hazard which would maybe factor in for me if I was...
No major updates. I have been dailying it and have had no issues or regrets. Happy with the 1hz for where I live on Vancouver Island, both for the highways and in the bush. I think a hzj105 would be an ideal rig up in Terrace. Feel free to shoot me a message if you want any more specific info.
Yeah thats my old truck. The 3b is a 3 bearing, out of Adam's old 60 (see thread). Was pretty clean rust wise etc when I sold it but has lived a bit of a rough life post sale I think. Had a collision repair to the front left fender, could use that to negotiate maybe.. the starter and ring...
Those 4.2 patrol y60s came as both turbo and non turbo options from the factory. Nice trucks. I have a buddy with one and from what I have seen the parts cost are a killer in North America, typically like 50% more than the same thing for a cruiser
Impressive build, and one of a kind.
Just wanted to chime in on the 105s as I have gone deep down the rabbit hole on them…
Hzj105 started in 1998. Lots in Australia. Harder to find in Europe or other LHD locations though.
For example...
Ok, can do, but might not be until Sunday. I want to get an OEM setup back in mine if I can figure out a way, and I see JDM 80 setups sometimes here for sale so I am considering exactly the same thing.
I didn’t remove it. It came missing. Probably some Albanian shenanigans post UNDP...
