    Aluminum Bumper

My front bumper is aluminum. It was polished, I painted to match color of rest of the trims. It's pretty light but feels sturdy. I bought it off someone, but it's definitely custom made.

Crack on the engine block. What now?

Now that I think a bit more, I believe that it is a crack due to impact as some of you suggested. PS pump and timing chain cover were both stock, so no one had touched those bolts, ever. I wish I had a picture from before that would show the exact spot, but all the ones I took don't have the...

Crack on the engine block. What now?

He loves that fipg, and doesn't take the time to clean the excess. I only saw it after the engine was all fully mounted.

    That's what I was suspecting.

Crack on the engine block. What now?

97 FZJ80 with 220k miles. The top end is rebuilt with some upgrades very recently, and I also added lots of new parts with complete new cooling and exhaust systems. Driven 330 miles since engine got put back in. There is a crack, right below the power steering pump (also new), and it leaks a...

CXRacing Header with 3" SS over the frame Exhaust

@Loki94 I am installing the same headers this week. Your thread is pretty helpful. From what I understand you removed both cats, installed a single GESi cat, removed the muffler, installed a resonator and still have both your O2 sensors? How did you eliminate the O2 codes? I was thinking of...

Rusrty frame of my grandma's 1997 LX 450. How bad is it?

Best rust preventation is to drive these vehicles. They keep leaking oil from everywhere, great for rust protection ;)

1FZ-FE Head Gasket - Question and My Parts List

I cut the pipe off with a sawzall. :D The bolts were easier to remove off vehicle that way. But my y-pipe, cats, even the bottom of the manifold is very rusty, have bunch of leaks, and some parts I couldn't even get a weld to hold anymore. Replacing the exhaust as well. As for your parts...

1FZ-FE Head Gasket - Question and My Parts List

Mine was in spec per machine shop, but I chose to get it for an extra $200 last month. I had already budgeted for that and have been within my budget up to that point, so it was an easy decision for me.

1995 80 Series Cruiser 1FZFE Auto, Cant get it running

After reading your issue and what you have replaced already, I started thinking it could be your fuel injectors before I got to this sentence. I'm don't have the knowledge of some great minds in this forum, so I'd definitely wait more experienced people to chime in before getting into pulling...

Does anyone have an old alternator lying around that you would be willing to pull the pulley out and ship to me ? I cracked mine while removing the alternator, the cheapest one I could find comes to $50-55 with tax and shipping. It's Toyota 27411-66040 oem part number. I was hoping it'd be a...

Reconfiguring and simplifying heater hose assembly. Will it work?

That is a good point. That's the type of feedback I was looking for. There must have been a reason they built that assembly with that many pieces. Actually my setup would eliminate two connection points since the proposal is to replace the 3 red dotted pieces on the picture with just one hose.

Reconfiguring and simplifying heater hose assembly. Will it work?

Not trying to do a delete, just want to replace the brass pipes (the U and the long 3-way piece) with one aluminum T-connector and a longer hose. If I'm not mistaken Toyota went that way with the 100 series.
