    Road Tire Question

This is what I meant when I said "snot slick". YouTube - 20 Car Pile Up Due to Snow Storm In Colorado Springs

    Road Tire Question

Another Follow Up I got the 35" Dynapros installed last week and Colorado Springs immediately got nailed with a nasty snow storm. Roads were snot slick with cars and 4x4's slipping off the road everywhere. I can honestly say, the Dynapros did not slip once during accelleration and braking. I...

    Road Tire Question

Follow-up All great info on tire recommendations. I discussed all these options with the Discount Tire Store Mananger (who I have bought several sets of tires over the years). He highly recommended the Hankook DynaPro ATM RF10's. He runs them on his F250 and said they perform "awesome on the...

    Road Tire Question

Another freaking tire question: I've been running 315 KM2's on my 97 for about 2 years. Love em in the rocks but not so much on the street. I found a cheap set of OEM wheels and plan to either run street tires and keep my KM2 set for off road OR I may go with a good set of AT's and sell my...

    Mallory Fuel Pump Question

Bill, Thanks for the reply...makes sense. Again, not sure why the original owner installed the mallory pump to begin with. Any reason why not to got back to the stock configuration? Stock should have plenty of pressure since my S/C is a TRD setup. I'm wonder if going back to stock will...

    Mallory Fuel Pump Question

History: Own a S/C 97 with a Mallory fuel pump with 168,000 miles. Had the rig 3 years with zero problems. I did a PM HG replacement last year with all the recommended maintenance (shaved/cleaned the head, cleaned the injectors, fuel filter, etc.). The S/C and Mallory fuel pump has been on the...

    Starter Issues after Rebuild

This is the exact method I used to install my contacts. They must have been a red hair off when I tightened the nuts. I'll try again this weekend. Dan, just for S&G's, what does a new starter run nowadays?

    Starter Issues after Rebuild

My "grinding" description was incorrect. It sounds more like the starter does not have enough emph to properly turn over the engine. I definitely need to find some time to check the plunger, contacts and teeth. Thanks for the picture and replies. Doug

    Starter Issues after Rebuild

I think its strange that the starter worked fine prior to the PM rebuild and now is having intermediate issues. I am going to pull it and check out the components.

    Starter Issues after Rebuild

I installed a new Toyota starter rebuild kit last summer during my PM head gasket replacement. The starter works great about 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time, it makes an awful grinding noise which dissappears after the second attempt. Other times the starter does nothing but after...

Calling the Super Charger gurus! Need your opinion on used TRD/Magnuson unit

I planned to have my S/C rebuilt by Magnuson during my HG replacement procedure last year. After removal, I checked for play and noise and found neither. I replaced the oil and popped it back in. The S/C has been in the truck for over 120,000 miles.

Trip Report for China Wall Run (20 Feb)

It was good meeting everyone at the run yesterday. The place we ate lunch was beautiful. I'll be bringing the family back there this summer for a weekend camping adventure. Victor, thanks for leading the group and for the dogs. Bobby, I'll say it one more time...your BJ40 was bad a$$...
