mine have a habit of getting stuck and a couple of whacks helped out. x2 on the threaded holes that works as long as the previous owner or worker aligns it right so that the threaded hole hits something to push off of :bang:. Can be tough but it will come off. Good luck

Thanks everyone. I took a look from underneath but the wires running from starter to battery block the view of the back bolt. I took a look in the faq for this but I will take another look for some detailed help on getting there.
