These trucks are heavy believe the supercharger is worth every penny much more fun to drive. The gas mileage at 65 is about 13 but I usually do 80 mph all the time so I only get like 10 - 11 :)

My 97 was the same way when I got it at 130,000 the fellows at Iron Pig recommended just swaping sides regrease them mine are still quiet at 178,000. Drive it everyday. :-) love it.

Mine died one time a year ago doing 60 MPH in traffic. Had it towed home and started checking the Distributor. No spark so l first replace the rotor and I was go to go for over a year now.

Check the other threads on this I believe some have posted that the noise is still there even with a different exhaust system. My son has a 96 same mileage as mine and his does not whistle at all.
